    I have the same problem, I even bought another one and it does the same.. You can even turn the power off to the whole system and it still stays mid position. This happens even if the motor is taken off the valve

    The way I understand the rules if you were to buy a bigger CU so you can incorporate the new cooker circuit then the whole installation fed from that board would need to be tested, where as adding an additional CU just for the cooker would mean only the new installtion needed testing, obviously...

    My mate has a semi detached house, his central heating pump died so asked me to change it, it didn't have any valves so I needed to drain it down, which I did except possibly one radiator. I couldn't get a pump that day even though I took the old one out, so considered putting the old pump back...

    Mine does have a load of holes in it, I assume this is the Dracula bit :D Yes it could be wet rot soaking in from the end, but the wood is very dry, but then again woodlice like the damp don't they? Yes it is a definate lack of maintenance, my dad pointed that out with a 'told you so'...
