    Noisy Vaillant eko428 boiler

Just had a new Vaillant eko 428 boiler installed and when it starts up it 'roars' for approx 30 mins. When it settles down it still appears to be more noisy than expected. I have listened to a recently installed Worcester boiler and that is quiet on start up and quieter when running than the...

    Flickering neon strip light

My neon kitchen strip light has two tubes. One tube kept flickering on and off, so I changed it for a new one. But the problem still exists. The other tube is not a problem and is perfectly alright. Would appreciate some help. Many thanks in advance

    Cat poo on carpet

We have been away for a 2 week holiday and the neighbour kindly offered to feed the cat. Unfortunately he didn't let the cat out enough and she pooed on carpet 4 times behind the television. low level wc cistern failing to flush

I have a low level wc and have recently found that the handle has to be pumped several times before the system flushes. I have checked the water level in the cistern and that's perfectly alright. I am not a plumber, but looking inside the cistern everything looks clean and appears to be...

Hidden(?) files using 17Gb of disc storage space!

Thank eggplant for your response. How do I identify and then delete these temp files. When I look at the folder it shows a 28Gb size, but identifies only 11Gb. Somewhere in there is a 17Gb file which I need to delete before I attempt another video upload. :)

    New cooker wiring

The cable is some 15 metres long from the consumer unit. The wire itself is awkward to get to as its above the cooker hood. Just compared it with 6mm cable from the local B&Q. Its looks about the same size - not a good measure I know. Can't see any markings on cable. The cooker hasn't been...
