Thanks for those responses. Sorry I did not make it clear, in fact I would like to use a mixer shower tap if possible, are there any good enough for this mains cold water and combi hot water set up? and the macerator is for the mucky stuff!

I've got mains cold water pressure and a valliant combi hot water pressure, can I get away with a mixer shower and if so what sort are best. Also are these macerators reliable, I've seen some bad reviews of them in general?
