Dear all, First thanks in advance for a reply. My issue is probably a simple one. Last year got my boiler serviced and I haven't touched it since then, it's been on circa 1.0bar, now the winter is kicking in I decided to bleed the radiators, knowing that the pressure bar would sink I decided...

Baxi Combi Boiler 80e or 105e - no hot water

Hi I've recently moved into a brand new house about 3 months ago. Last night there was no hot water. I checked the boiler which is new (as old as the house) and when i turn the hot water on the 'tap node' glows which is what it should do, then the flame symbol glows briefly for about 1...

That damn dog!!! he's chewed through the house alarm cables.

Yep....I just went into the bathroom today and noticed the dog has managed to chew through 2 cables which I'm guessing are the house alarm cables as now it's not working. Wire 1: contains 3 wires (black, blue, red) possibly a 3rd green (couldn't see). With what looks like lots of aluminium...

I turned all the gas boiler to 0 to turn it off and the meter dial stopped on the gas meter. We only have 4 radiators in the house.

Hummm how much do you pay on your gas? are we being jibbed?

Hi This is kind of a concern and advice post. I own a 2 bedroomed new house with my girlfriend. Just before christmas our gas bill jumped around 25 - 30 higher a month. It is now 45 pounds a month. I understand around winter you will use more gas however we still think this s very wrong...

Dear god help me! what next?

My boiler was on MAX and now I twisted the nob to Normal and the dripping has seemed to stop. We at least I think so. Where the overflow pipe is outside and another metal pipe that has something to do with the radiators the wall is very wet even above the pipes. Possibly a burst pipe?

Dear god help me! what next?

The expansion vessel just seems to be ok. It went down after a bled the radiators. I still think the gauge should be a little lower. The pipe dripping outside has now slowed down to about 1 drip per 8 - 10 seconds

Dear god help me! what next?

Breezer your the man. You may not be a plumber or engineer but your advice has always been A+. I phoned a good friend who recently became a plumber. He said that the shower wasn't working due to a) A blockage from bleeding being shifted or disturbed. b) the shower is just simply knackered...

Dear god help me! what next?

Excuse my language but the shower has gone t*ts up. But things have gone from bad to worse. It seems the water pressure on my boiler is too high. A pipe outside is dripping warm water, it's not the overflow pipe but a dark brown loop pipe that comes out of the house then goes back in. I...
