Very belated thanks to Sleepyhead for responding to my original problem (d/w just humming). My son took the d/w apart and found the wash pump motor seized up. He freed it all up and greased the bearings etc and the machine washes now but unfortunately the water is not heating up! Is this worth...

My d/w suddenly stopped working properly on Christmas Day morning - what timing! It does the initial drain, fills with water but then just hums. Can anybody give me some idea of what might be wrong and what I may be able to do? [/i]
