Thanks for the help .. I just basically wanted a little assurance it wasn't something stupidly obvious ( and cheap) that I'd get stung for if I called someone out.. :)

We have a baxi bermuda back boiler situated in the lounge. Occassionally it lapses into what can only be desribed as a roaring noise ( like you hear on the telly from those gas mains being set alight). The boiler is still heating fine. Its just that the boiler is currently waking me up most...
