I have found the problem with my boiler getting hot! There is white insulating material surrounding the burner on four sides which is cracked and crumbling allowing heat to escape and so making the casing extremly hot. Does anyone know the correct name of this material and where I can get it...

My boiler in the kitchen is overhating and the outsdie of it is starting to go black. Whats the problem and how do you fix it?
