    Boiler overheating then extinguishing

Apollo 65/80B wall mounted gas boiler very gets hot indeed and goes out. This happens on high or low settings and the pilot light then has to be re-lit to start the boiler up again. All thermostats have been replaced. Could this be a gas valve problem ?

    Pilot light

Apollo 65/80B wall mounted gas boiler. A problem that is now getting worse is the pilot light extinguishing after banging noises from the boiler. this happens on Hi or Low settings. Could this be due to overheating and requiring replacement of Hi and Low thermostats ?
