Thanks once again sleepyhead. I did smell 'burning circuit board' type smells so I think the latter prognosis is correct. Not happy with this dishwasher - had nothing but troubles with it, do you know if it is worth fixing the PCB or maybe get another Brand?

Thanks again sleepyhead I must have sniffed some of the dishwashing powder! The error code flashing is 9 flashes not 8! This probably means operator error!!! Is this something completely different?

Thanks Sleephead I have checked sieve/filters but they are clean. Could this also mean a blocked/crimped outlet hose perhaps?

Hi there My Whirlpool Dishwasher is stopping mid cycle & flashing 8 times. Can anybody give me some idea what this means, please?
