    whirlpool dishwasher problem

I had a similar sounding problem that was solved by replacing the 'PCB' (main control board). Sadly I should also advise you that the cost of the replacement part was expensive, about 1/2 the cost of the original machine. Good luck.

    Whirlpool Dishwasher appears dead

I have a Whirlpool 2000+ Integrated dish washer. It was working perfectly. Then it stopped. Just like that. Now when I turn it on, nothing happens, not even a single LED. I have checked the socket, plug and fuse. Unlike other problems listed on this website, I don't think it is the...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

Well... I did say "almost"... sadly we didn't win. It must be fixed. (Pun intended). OK... Sleepyhead... It's 'bye' from me and ... seriously... thank you for your help. Oh yes... and please say "hi" to Mrs Sleepyhead and tell her that I think you are a Star. Bye/Balvine.

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

That is an understatement... it was a mega nightmare! However... at the end of this... I now understand that a dish washer isn't the magic I had always assumed. Instead I now know it is a cheap metal box, with sharp edges, it has a motorised valve to let water in, a pump to let water out...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

OK. I've just replaced the PCB and all appears fine. Solved. Sorted. Bingo. Fantastic. Thank you. So here is a £13.5 million thank you Mr or Mrs Sleephead. Sames rules as last time. So... Mr Taxman you get 40% of the £3 present not 40% of the winnings. EuroMillions EuroMillions...

Thanks for your further advice. Now here is a £5 million thankyou. Dear HM Ispector of Taxes. I have just agreed to give Sleephead £3 (three pounds) and we have agreed to create a one-off syndicate for the Euro Lottery next week. We have agreed in advance to share the winnings 50:50 so...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

Water filled to a reasonable depth. All three arms aligned front-back. Waited. No swishing sound. Arms haven't moved at all. I'm going to bet on the pcb. Assuming Whirlpool can delivery within ten days to the UK then I'll have the part here on Friday 16th March... I'll send you an update...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

Oh... your advice is the opposite of my thoughts... The spray arms are not blocked. Obviously while you know loads more than I do about these wretched machines, the pump worked perfectly when I hot wired it so I don't really understand how it can be the cause of the problem...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

Following last night's test... It went through a complete cycle without me prodding any buttons. It opened the powder compartment OK but about half the powder was left inside the compartment. It failed to wash the dishes at all... probably 10% of the crumbs etc were washed off and left in...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

The pump works. I tested it insitu by giving it a direct feed from the mains and it roared into life perfectly happily. I have just given it a mini test as it "appears" that it may now be working... It certainly started and stopped without me prodding any buttons but I can't tell if it did...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

I have a Askoll pump, Article 295106, 230/240 Vac, 50Hz, 0,70A (which I guess mean 0.7Amps). Please can you give me some guidance on how to remove the pump for a "dry test" as my belove'd engineer has disappeared... In addition, I assume the only way to give it 240 volts is to cut the...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

Right. Now I'm a man with a mission. I'll call the dishwasher expect in a couple of hours time (now 5:30am here) and get him to test the motor on dry land (so to speak)... I'll let you know our findings. Once again, thanks for your continued support in this matter...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

OK. You may not have appreciated this but I'm in the Caribbean island of Dominica, where the local experts haven't probably seen as many dish washers as you have... Two questions... (a) Is there anyway in which we can determine if the problem is the washer motor or the pcb? (b) Given...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

He connected his meter to the two wires of the motor. When I said voltage I may have meant ampage... I do not hear any noise. Thanks to you, I think we have eliminated one of the three possibilites... So... Is there a quick and dirty way in which we could "trick" the washing motor...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

Thanks for your quick comments... There are no error led flash codes. How can I tell if it is a faulty pump motor or a faulty pcb. (A new pcb costs £78.26 - this would therefore be an expensive mistake if the problem is the motor!). According to the engineer, he didn't see can...

    Whirlpool G2P Integrated Dishwasher

I own a Whirlpool built in dishwasher, Generation 2000 4 Product number G2P DWI/1 WH When I turn it on, in lets water in and stops. Then nothing. When I prod the front buttons, it then pumps the water out and stops. Then nothing. The washing arms inside do not spin around although...
