Hi, we are changing an old rad valve for a new trv. We have a combi boiler. Do we need to drain the entire system to change the rad valve or can we just let the pressure out of the boiler from the prv?

hiya, when sealing the bathtop to the tiles in our new bathroom, we will use silicon sealant. What can we use to take off the excess silicone to leave a nice finish ? Thanks in advance for any advice

i am just a bit worried about "waste of water" (a cistern full in the loft) and "stagnation" ie using this water for brushing teeth.....

if someone has a combi bolier system,, is it against the water regs to still
keep the cwsc in use for bath, basin, shower and WC water?
(mains cold water only supplies the combi and kitchen sink........

well done sooey, you are spot on. I checked last night. This was a council job at my mums house. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix the problem, other than wait 6months for the council guy to return ? it will be difficult to connect the mains cold to the bathroom tap due to the design...
hiya, our system has just been changed to a combi system (Vaillant combi boiler). Our shower is a hose connected to the bath taps. Even with the hot water tempreture turned down, the shower is too hot. I've tried to turn on the cold tap fully and the hot tap only slightly but this does not help...
