OK thanks :-) Looks like I need to go back to the shop to exchange them, but I have a nasty feeling they wont take back the ones I tried to fit as the (plastic) nut on the tap shows signs of being 'used'. Anyway, I learn from experience. Thanks for your help

I purchased some new taps for a sink/wash basin but they don’t fit. I then discovered that the threaded part on the existing tap is 20mm but the new tap is 22mm. Have I purchased the wrong taps or is there something I need to do to convert the existing nut on the pipe to fit a 22mm thread on...
