    Seen that on Cambrian slates , busted channels on edgemeres but not the senior slate . I'll keep my eye open on that. I have seen blocked channels on moderns and stonewolds and others but they were generally over 20 years old. The condron senior has not been available around here that long ...

    I would use NHL 3.5 and a 3 to 1 mix with a good washed aggregate. (Wareham washed we use depending on stone) We generally use st Astier lime as found it consistently reliable .

    Interesting? Was it the condron ? There is another make that is total cra p and seen plenty of issues, colour changes, channels breaking off but not on a senior We get wind and rain down on the coast too. They do go to 17.5 .. look again

    Depending on your stone , it might stick to the lead and detached from the stone in a short time . Then water will get in behind . Something I've come across

    There's a good solution already posted . Bottom course of tiles on the main roof extend past valley centre . Cut valley board back . Lead from valley would finish onto the top of that first course . Not under it . Verge could then be extended to suit

    Fyi , the existing tile is a Marley Malvern , the ones used to repair are Marley Mendips . I'd get them replaced with the correct tile too Good luck .

    the sealant maybe full length , but the are floors plainly obvious in your image. the verge units are dodgy , no idea why nobody else pointed this out .. fyi trade site reviews are not always worth a hoot

    firstly the patch up at the bottom of the valley will not help. The mortar bed is poor and the sealer will hold water in and eventually over flow the grp valley.. zoom in and you will see . rh side of valley there has been a repair higher up the valley using the wrong tiles. the new tiles are...
