Hi Mick, I need to be able to check the condition of the diaphragms, usually i just slip a pipe onto the outlet tap and the boiler drains, I don't need to drain the radiators, just the boiler, to remove the pressure from the diaphragm housings so that I can unscrew them without water pouring...

Can anyone help - I have a problem with dhw but I can't seem to drain the system to be able to take a look at the diaphragms etc, i have switched off the mains water and power, I only get about a pint of water from the drainining point on the boiler - any ideas?

Points taken - my thoughts: I can replace the motor today for £17 from local supplier. Baxi troubleshooting guide clearly shows that if voltage present at pcb then motor is faulty. Having said that, there may be voltage present, but something else on the pcb has failed and it's not...

As per the Baxi troubleshooting guide I checked the voltage between pins 1 & 3 on the A8 block - 244 volt there which pretty much suggests that the diverter valve motor head has gone as the cable loks fine. Will replace that and let u guys know if it fixes the problem. Very many thank's...

Wires correct - baxpoti. Diaphragm and both microswitches replaced and microswitch can be heard to click when DHW requested. Just downloaded the Manual from Partsarena (ta for that!!). In the troubleshooting section I can see voltages mentioned on pinouts on the PCB I'm going to check...

Motor head appears completely dead - no movement / vibration whatsoever when DHW demanded. I guess the next thing is to confirm that 240v is getting to the motor head, any idea what pins - I think there are 3 contacts ? No manual - have u got one to pass on? ! Keith.

Hi Dave, the vertical pin on the valve will move with a bit of finger effort, it feels ok. to be honest, nice and smooth, but as u say with some resistance. Keith.

That didn't read to well what I meant to say was that when the motor head is removed, the brass pin standing upright on the valve can be depressed, with some effort.
