Works a treat! Many thanks! I wasnt far off the solution, i DID follow the wiki which shows red & blue in L2 & yellow & BLACK in L1, so as you know that didnt help in this case lol thanks again Dave!

Right all, thanks for taking time to look at this! What i currently have here is a 2 gang? (i.e. 2 seperate switches in 1 box) the one switch turns on 2 flourescent tubes down one end of the attic, the other turns on the other 2 down the opposite end! current setup is all 3 blacks...
