    I am assuming that the electrical installer has fitted the correct protection for a 2.5mm cable just as he would with a 4 or 6mm. The query I have is voltage drop of major significance?

    Radials to Ring

    I have converted 4 radial circuits to one ring main by linking the sockets at the fusebox with the existing live cables. And connecting the 2 end sockets to the same fuse therefore creating the ring. I have left the neutral cables as they are. Does this have any safety implications?

    As far as i am aware in reality there is no limit. The most important things are... the fuse/circuit breaker must be of a lower rating than the cable therefore the fuse/mcb will burn before the cable will. So in terms of capacity CABLE greater than FUSE greater than LOAD
