Just copped i have a resin fireplace instead of cast iron, the inset is cast iron which will be coming out but the surround is black resin, how close can a stove get to that?

I am fitting a stove and want to fit a soot door at the back of the fireplace. Everything seems straight forward except that i presume the back of the fireplace is a cavity wall with polystyrene insulation how do seal the cavity around the soot door opening or will it just be a solid wall?

HI, can anyone advise me, I already have cavity insulation about 50mm of polystyrene but i think it was very poorly installed can i get bonded bead injected on top?

all ready to try out back up generator, changeover switch, earth rod, link wire neutral earth, even energy meter but i have just noticed that the genny doesnot have an rcd do i need to have one fitted before changeover switch.
