    I'll scrape out the filler and have a go at repointing it. So will the damaged bricks be ok? They're in the garage, so aren't open to the weather and are unlikely to freeze. Thanks for the reply, I'm keen to learn about looking after the house, so the detail is much appreciated

    The first image is one side of the garage, the second is the other side. I've brushed it down to get any loose paint off and it looks like there's some sort of white filler in places, quite a lot on the second image and where it's fallen off the brick looks pretty bad. Should I be worried...
