What nailer would you recommend for fixing skirtings to various surfaces. I've been looking at the paslode IM250 / 65 but not sure what its like fixing to brick / block. Any recomendation?

Got a lounge/diner to lay the above flooring in, its 9.50 x 3.70m - arch 5.00m from one end. Existing floor is 15 years old and has marley tiles on (no damp reading on protimeter). What do you think - too big to float, use elastilon or rip up existing, screed, dpm, prime, screed and bond.
