Thanks for the advise.

The wires to the switch are 2 x red 2 x black 2 x green and yellow and one bloody yellow.... The wires to the middles light were just the norm red, black and earth. All single wires. There is an outside light on wall of same room, however this already has its own swicth.

Unfortunately roof was done on insurance and old light was ripped out by another. Still the quest for the mysterious yellow wire continues....

No, the siwtch is for a centre light.

Help required..... Just trying to replace pull cord switch and appear to have more wires than I know waht to do with. There are 2 Red, 2 Blue, 2 Green/Yellow and 1 Yellow. Its the yellow which is causing the most confusion. Can anyone help please.
