Hi Thanks for that I took off the integrated door looked at the encased wiring and was going to take the next bit off but left for a while when the washer mysteriously just started working again - thanks for taking the time to answer -appreciated - Colin

Hi Thanks this did solve the problem and now starts all the time - The only thing was that quite a bit of coolant comes out and i think some got onto apart which when the car had heated up made a funny smell - this now appears to have gone but anybody trying this i would suggest making sure...
