when i bled rads upstairs there was small amounts of water, and small amounts of air in one rad. what is f and e tank?? is that the one in the loft with the ball valve. if so, that does have water in it.

i have a glowworm ultimate 80ff. which appears to feed standard type hot water cylinder and has small tank in loft with ballvalve. from the cylinder there is a grundfos pump and two v4043 honeywell motor valves. cheers

nearly all my rads except 2 have old style 3/4" (or close to) iron plugs on both sides that you have to turn with an allen key style spanner.

i will try that tomorrow. cylinder is pretty well insulated but as you said it is a waste of money just boiling water for taps all the time when i cant heat my rads. is there any easy way to bleed rads from plugs as when i did kitchen, lounge downstairs water sprayed on the walls and floors, but...
