I'd like to fit 2 glazed panels into the top of a 4-panel Victorian door. I've looked at how to do this with an external door, but I'm not happy with the idea of just cutting the existing panels out. As the panels just sit in the frame, would the best way be to dismantle the door and if so...

I had something similar in my previous kitchen which I always cleaned with hot soapy water before drying with a towel. For extra shine I occasionally used a light application of wax polish (the silicon type stuff). Worth a try?

We drilled holes and fitted air vents to 2 fireplaces a few months back and the amount of dust was shocking. Hope your fireplaces aren't as solidly sealed as ours! Good luck.
