Right. I've found the pump next to the hot water tank. Did what you said undercover. It is hot. The pipes afterwards are warm. Is that OK. I saw the big screw in the middle of the pump. I have a screwdriver to fit. What now. I'm scared that water will flow out if i undo it.

Still got probs guys and a heating guy came round today. He cleaned the pilot light and put a new thin lead on it. He turned the thermastat right up and it lit up straight away. Fantastic i thought. Soon as he left the boiler went out. Left a message for him but he cant come back until friday...

thanks for the replies. I can get a flame and then it goes straight out. It was serviced about 10months ago

First post so please bear with me. Boiler is not firing up at all. I can hear the fan and see it sparking but nothing else is happening. It will light for a moment and then goes out so there must be gas there. Any ideas as to what the problem is guys. William
