    Hi My living room has sanded and varnished wooden floorboards. I've been moving furniture around alot, and as a consequence, the floorboards are all marked and scrached. To get it looking nice again can i just re-varnish it or will i have to sand it back again and then varnish it?!? Cheers...

    I want to repaint my living room which at the moment is just painted plaster. There are a few patches of flaking paint that I have sanded down, but since washing the walls with sugar soap, these patches have become much, much worse. The flat is about 100 years old.
