I have a potterton profile 80e. The boiler is calling for CH and HW but it will not fire up the pilot light is on. The pilot lights but then the spark continues to well spark as if it hasn't sensed that the pilot has lite. it has been suggested that it is probably the flame rectification...

There the pilot burner, the ingnition and then a piece ot metal attached in the flame the wire from this then runs to the pcb

I take it that it is more likely to be that than a fault within the pcb

is that the piece of metal in the flame with a wire going to the pcb. :(
