Cheers for the pointers. You're right, the brickwork is seriously good. Just in the wrong place!!!! The builder will arrange for BC to visit tomorrow, I would imagine that we'll have to get the bricks out etc. Nightmare.

I have the builders in at the moment digging out the trenches for a kitchen extension. All was going well, until they found a shaft full of old bricks (as can be seen from the pictures). This has been underground for 60 years, so it clearly isn't in use (maybe there's a pipe at the bottom still...
