    It extends the width of the door and its hollow underneath thats why I thought it was a waste of time to try and just fill the crack.

    I have a large crack above my front door, see pic. I want to repair it before decorating my hall but not sure how to go about it.     I thought I would just let everyone know the outcome of the problem I posted. The plumber came in and first fitted a brand new pump to see if it would help, but when he realised that wasnt the problem he cut a section of pipe from the pump to the boiler and hey presto it was totally clogged.     Thanks anyway for your help, I have a neighbour coming over to have a look this evening, he's a plumber, maybe he will have a good idea about whats wrong.

    Yes it is, its a relatively new one as well. I have emptied the system totally in the last couple of weeks and refilled, venting all the radiators as well.

    Yep, I cleaned it out thoroughly last week as well when I put my first lot of descaling in.
