    Multimeter pics posted, the first one is on the off position and the second one is the setting used when testing the L & N. I have never used one of these before so might be a bit of a donut when it comes to this stuff.

    Secondary side 00.2. 200ohms is the lowest setting on the multimeter.

    Sorry spark123, I have been away for a couple of days working. I have done what you said and am getting a resistance of 002. This is at the 200 ohms setting on the multimeter.

    I am obviously not doing something right. I am putting the red and black probes onto the L&N wires of the Transformer and getting readings of -115, -135.

    No, these have a molded brown plug on the end which connects to the light tray. I have a multimeter now and dont know what to do with it!! :oops:

    I have added photos of the switch to the album. I don't have a multimeter but B & Q is 5 mins away if I need to get one. The lightswitch is outside the bathroom. We do also have a pullswitch for the shower (dunno if that helps?) Our Builder/Electrician might have been trying to cut corners...

    The black, brown and grey are from the ceiling. The blue & Blue and black come from the termination on the light itself. The brown and blue wire dangling with the brown connector connects to the fitting with the halogen light bulbs. When you say a picture of the switch do you mean the light...
