aqualisa quartz

Hi All, just checking I'm not missing something daft with our new aqualisa quartz. The main controls work perfectly, however the wired remote button doesn't do anything and the blue light on it is on permanently. Nothing changes on the remote button when you use the shower. Plumber is at a loss...
