    Asbestos in Fireplace?

    Hi Just about to start the fire for the winter in new old bungalow - noticed protruding rope in surround, and some suspect possible asbestos board up in chimney... Likely going to get a sample and get it tested... but what do you all think? Might be hard to get a sample for the upper chimney...
