Hi, I got Harvey S4 twintec water softener installed by builder and it appears to be working ok (as consuming salt) but water sometimes feel hard for a week and next week it feels soft silky. I asked builder to have a look and he simply changed the white dial settings as shown in the picture...

Looking for a water softener and Harvey and Kinetico were the obvious choices based on feedback from friends and family. However, I don't need twin tanks (night regeneration is fine) so was looking at other "simpler" models - not necessarily the cheapest and once that can take tablets as well...
