    New Skirting Boards and uneven riven Slate floor

    I am about to lay a riven slate floor and thinking better to fit skirting first as if fit on top of slate because it’s not flat it will show gaps, where if lay first and leave a small gap and grout , what’s everyone’s opinion Thanks

    Can I buy and replace a cracked roof tile?

    I'm not sure where I can buy roof slates? If I get them would I need to cut to size? Is it better to just get a roofer to do it? It's only a ground floor annex, these things fall off from time to time so it may be a good skill to learn. Thanks for any help you can give me
