I'm removing my small chimney breast on a solis wall 9 inch as per attached photos. I left the long brick coming from the exterior face. What would be the best technique to tie it on the corner and make it stronger again? Many thanks

I made a booboo. I've not put wall ties on every course around doors and windows. Our building regs wants them in. The drill-in types are horrifically expensive. That leaves me with angle grinding mortar out to slide them in and repoint OR bending the ties and screw at an angle. Do I have any...

hi Stupid error on my behalf. It's a .7m x.7m hole. Can I retrofit by grinding out some mortar, slipping in some flat metal ties and remortaring? It will be hard walked and skimmed so prettiness is not an issue here. Thanks
