Hi All,

We are planning on installing UFH across all 3 floors of our house. (The construction is Concrete ground floor, standard plasterboard ceiling > joists > wooden floorboards and the same to the loft conversion.)

My question is relating to the ceiling of the Ground & 1st floor where all the floorboards will be lifted, battens put in place to support the polystyrene UFH panels which will mean that there will be an air space between the plasterboard ceiling and the underside of the polystyrene.

Is it worth filling this gap with insulation and if so what type. (Rock wool fibreglass type stuff or rigid board like celotex. (I was also thinking that this would help with sound insulation as well.)

Whats your thoughts?

Cheers
Pete
