I'm adding new radiators in my new extension. I have lengths of 22mm plastic pipes under the floor linking exisiting copper manifolds. I plan to install the new radiators by inserting a 22mm Tee for flow and return and linking to a 22mm to 4 x 10mm Speedfit connector. I will use inserts throughout.

Is there any problem with keeping it in plastic to the radiator valve itself? The guy in Plumb Center recommended going back to 10mm copper pipe just before the radiator valve.

Any advice or recommendations welcome.

if plastic is what you want to do then plastic is perfectly ok

good tip to use copper tails from rad valves to plastic as it is aestheticallly better

The existing system is only 8mm microbore and to be honest I couldn't see any manifolds other than 22mm to 4 x 10mm.
