Hi All

Just found this site and hope someone can help

I have a warm air heater built into a wall with a fan underneath which blows the air over a large heat exchanger.

The motor has died does anyone know where I can find a new motor?

No, but you can get motors rewound most times  .Yellow pages :?:

Motors have the useful information on a plate somewhere. You can buy a similar spec motor and make suitable mounts to get the shaft in the right place.

Most failures of smal air fans are not electrical but merely the bearings drying up and seizing.

In many cases they can be freed up and lubricated.

Bearings are usually sealed types, and so it's not possible to wash out the bit s that are causing the problem. They are easy to replace though.

I suspect the motor may be substantially bigger than a small fan motor.
