Hive is set to off, the controller next to the boiler is also not receiving any commands to tell the boiler to heat up the radiators.

Radiators are boiling hot. On the boiler the heating symbol is on permanent with the flame sign.

Usually the anti frost will kick in during the night (boiler is in garage) so will heat up the radiators. I initially thought that was what was keeping the the radiators warm however the weather has recently picked up so that throws the theory out the window..

The divert valve little lever is not moving. When i move manually there is no resistance. Literally moves back and forth with the feel of a spring.

Hot water is heating as normal.

I have moved the CH lever down to the minimum to stop the system heating the radiators, this has stopped the CH for the time being, however when it reaches its minimum temp i expect to fire up the CH again.

It is a honeywell v4043h1056

I have two. Another which controls a pool heat exchange. On that one I can feel the spring load when I pull back on the little lever. On the CH valvle this little level has no resistance at all.

Is it the motor that goes faulty? I see the motors are easily available on amazon, seems simple install as replacing the valve will need the system to be drained.

Not the motor, mechanical failure and the internal micro switch jammed ( closed circuit) in my opinion.

Will changing powerhead sort this or would the whole valve need replacing?

Good possibility. Remove the actuator head from the valve body. Check the spindle in the body moves freely ( it normally only turns around one quarter turn ,roughly). If that is free ,fitting a new actuator should solve the problem.

Have ordered a full unit. Will try changing the powerhead firstly and see how that goes.
Many thanks
