This has had a glass break in it and now doesn't work any ideas as to what the problem could be?
Thanks.

Pieces of broken glass have an annoying habit of finding their way into the drain pump or circulation pump. If it won't empty/start check if the drain pump is blocked. Post the full model details if you require more information

I had a look at it today it's a hotpoint aquarius fdw60 model When put on prewash it seems to fill up ok then when finished it just doesn't drain and there is water in the bottom of it.

I took it out and gave it a hoseing back through the drain pipe to see if I might be able to clear something, but it still has the same problem.

I have a feeling the pump is knackered or jammed.

Does this model have 2 pumps?

follow waste pipe to the pump undo the 6 screws on the base ,pump is small with a coil on it ,the glass is jammed in the impelor ,its a ten min job .

It has a drain pump and a circulation pump (wash motor).
Since you say a glass was broken in there recently l would suspect a small piece of glass has found its way into the drain pump & is jamming the impellor. This happens often & the machine won't pump out when it occurs. You will probably have to remove the drain pump to clear the obstruction. Lie the machine on its back & remove the base plate, this gives you access to most components. The drain pump is the small electric motor on the right hand side of the sump.
Power & water supply turned off first

I had it opened up on it's side and took the drain hose connection with one screw off and checked for blockage and I couldn't see any but I didn't check the pump as I did'nt think anything could get past filters ie bits of glass etc.

Should have checked pump while there eh  .

Unfortunately it happens often. Look on the bright side, its easy to fix :D
