Ariston washing machine A1636 Died mid cycle

Any suggestions our Ariston 6kg A1636 1600 spin washing machine stopped mid cycle. I have checked and the fuse has not blown in the plug. I have used a light pen and there is power running to the machine. The machine is only a few years old and in very good cosmetic condition. I am aware that these are cheap machines. So would it be better to attempt to repair it, or just replace it. What should I do or check now?
