I just had a plumber look at my heating/water system as part annual service. I had a problem with air trapped in HW circuit. In the hot water tank cupboard, between the pump and the 3 way motorized valve, I have a pipe with a large screw on top - acting as an air release valve. The welded head was leaking when pressure above 1.5bar. He replaced the old turning screw with automatic air release valves.

Was this a good idea to replace it?
Thanks Jerry

Dan thanks for reply. I heard that system need to be bleed just once a year and auto valve can suck in air.
