bad graphics on download

hi all a friend of mine still wont get broad band so i changed his dialup to tiscali with speed boost. may be a bit faster but he says some web pages are not good graphics ,or print sometimes is hard to read . is this because of the speedboost as i suppose it must compress files or something. has anyone else had problems with the speed boost software? and has anyone tried onspeed ? which has good reports. his pc has millenium op on it which runs fine no problems to my amazement . graphics are only bad on some downloaded web pages. they were ok before the speed boost . we just put another 512 memory in pc because system was sluggish loading pages etc. i just wish he would get broadband never mind
