Morning all when the kitchen mixer hot tap is turned on then off a banging noise occurs in the bathroom upstairs, all the pipes have been refixed, clipped etc, sometimes does it with the hot and cold tap in bathroom is turned on then off aswell, if I drain the hot and cold water this stops for a week , then starts again. Someone has suggested fitting a water hammer device to the cold inlet near the boiler your expertise is needed all thank you

Do you have mains fed hot and cold water? Via an unvented cylinder?
If yes, are the hot and cold balanced?
Has this always been present or just begun recently. One bang or several?
Has the UV cylinder ever been serviced?
If a combi, then all that can be suggested, over this media, is check clipping and insulation and, yes, consider a hammer arrestor on the cold main.
