Bar mixer shower connections

Just ripped out my old shower/tiles/plasterboard etc.

Piped in the hot & cold at 150mm centres.

Looking at some showers (Mira & Grohe etc), they seem to have a 1/2" BSP connection inside the wall?

I was just going to stick the 15mm copper tails out through the wetwall then thought they've be cut back to a certain size and then a compression fitting to the bar mixer?
