Hi, Just moved house and have an odd situation re bathroom taps. The basin in the upstairs bathroom has separate hot and cold taps - flow from both of these is fine. The bath, about 6 feet away, has a mixer tap and has very poor flow from both the hot and cold settings. Any suggestions about the possible cause ?

Thanks, Ozzie

Taps are probably designed for mains pressure while your hot and cold pressure is controlled bt the head given by your cold water supply tank usually in roofspace. If so you need low pressure bath taps.

Other possibilities are size of pipework to bath taps. Should be 22mm for tankfed system or flexible connectors to bath taps restricting flow.

I think the cause has to be the mixer taps.
I understand imported versions may not have the same bore size as UK manufacture. eg although the pressure is the same, a reduced bore means more resistance and reduced flow.
