New bathroom installed recently, the water pressure and hot water work fine. The problem is when running the bath tap (hot water or hot/cold) then turn the handle to redirect water flow to the shower it runs ice cold no matter how hot the bath tap water was. If cold tap is almost off the water is luke warm but never as hot as the main bath tap.

sounds like the shower valve - the handle may have been put on in way that restricts your maximum temp to somethign quite low... can you take the handle off try (should be a small grab screw holdin it to the main axle of the valve.

Is your bathroom hot water supplied via a tank (low pressure)?

Is your bathroom cold water supplied from the mains (high pressure)?

Did someone confirm the installation was working correctly before paying the installers?
