Hi,

As mentioned in my previous thread, due to being skint i'm having to do plastering myself. I'm getting better and better but i'm still learning with each trowel full of plaster!

My next job (the outside toilet has been sidelined till next week!) is to skim the bathroom walls. At the moment they're pretty solid but covered in lots of holes, which i'll fill (the previous owners seem to have a nail and screw fetish) and painted in satin, so it needs a skim coat.

I'm planning on using thistle multi. What do i need to do to make sure it sticks? Just a 3:1 pva and skim while it's still tacky? Is there anything else i need to do when skimming a bathroom? There won't be any tiles going on top of it.

If plaster sticks to your plastic bucket it'll stick to your painted walls.

I've got a screw fetish as have most blokes. :p :p :p
