Hi.

The time has come to replace my aging bathroom suite. Have been looking at the suites at B & Q, Most are around the 1000 pound mark. complete with all fittings taps etc, Also been looking at a local bathroom centre where the prices are much higher, Anyone know if the quality of the B & Q suites are ok, or anyone reccomend any suites about my stated price. Just wandered if the higher price suites are better or would I be paying more for a designer type product

Any replies appreciated

I would never recommend anyone to buy from a 'shed'. Visit your local plumbers merchants and ask for brochures. You will get better quality and there should be something to suit most budgets.

you get what you pay for - especially baths. Check the thickness of the bath (from memory the B&Q variety are all 6mm), is there an encapulated support board (or a piece of chipboard stuck to the underside of the bath and the check quality of the bath supports.

When it comes to wc / cistern & basins check that you can get spare parts for things like siphons

Don't forget that you local merchant can also offer you a lot of advice (and unlike B&Q) the staff usually know what they are talking about!
