Battened Bathroom Ceiling, Should I Use Vapour Barrier Before PB?

I battened the Artex ceiling in the bathroom and wondering whether I should staple some plastic on before screwing the plasterboard up?

Here is a pic:

Will be using non-foil-backed PB, skimming, then non-silk emulsion.

I would, yes.

perhaps it would be an idea to fill the depth of the battens with insulation, as you might get condensation in there, as it’s a bathroom.
