My baxi is losing pressure heating upto 80 degrees then droppn to 50. Have just replaced the secondary plate heat exchanger and the pressure relief bar its had fernox put back in but still pressure is droppn cant find a leak am I right in thinking the system needs a power flush.....have been advsd that it may be the expansion tank.....can anyone help....plz....

Search FAQ's on here for how to check the expansion vessel.

It is well documented

Thankyou for your reply but im not sure if the expansion tank is the problem as I dnt have much clue....lol but I had been advsd to get power flush done but im worried if I pay for this that it will be the expansion tank that would just be my luck.

The first thing to check is the EXV as Dave has advised.

The FAQ give instruction on how to check it yourself.

If you cannot do it yourself then its better to pay someone to check that at say £50 before you go and pay £400 to have it power flushed!

Of course its your boiler so if you prefer to get it power flushed first then thats your perogative.

However, when you ask for our advice then we expect you to follow it unless you have a VERY good reason not to ( unless it was given by Dr Drivel ).
